North Node in Taurus and South Node in Scorpio

Do you feel it yet? With the shift of the North Node in Taurus and South Node in Scorpio on January 18, 2022, the most immediate impact has been felt in the financial field—our Earned Income and in the Stockmarket. It doesn’t help that we are currently in a Mercury Retrograde transit right now, but this will be shorter lived, ending in early February. Adding to the volatility is also Uranus in Taurus, making the material world around us feel very unstable.

The Taurus/Scorpio Nodal Placement will be with us for the next 18 months. During this time, we will collectively be considering our reliance on resources coming from others, dependence on loans or inheritances for our source of revenue, as well as our value in relation to those from whom we borrow money. The Nodes of the Moon exist to help us grow and evolve collectively. We don’t have a choice. If we stay in our old patterns, things get really uncomfortable. Stagnation is not an option.

We are often told that we are Souls having a temporary Human experience. No other Nodal Axis describes this as well as Taurus and Scorpio. Scorpio represents understanding, depth, and ability to transcend the material. It is also said that Scorpio is associated with death. This is because Scorpio’s psychic abilities allow it to connect with concepts and realms beyond our 3D material world. But as humans in this temporary existence, we ARE material. We are on and of the Earth, require food, shelter, transportation, and resources in order to survive.

Taurus North Node gently, but methodically will lead the way for us to look in the mirror. What do we value within and what are we willing to do to earn respect, love, and wealth on our own terms and with out own sweat equity? Taurus, the Bull represents the time of year when seeds are planted (late April - late May). We invest in ourselves in order to reap the reward later in the year, which we celebrate during the time of Scorpio (late October - late November). Astrology is like that—providing us patterns that require us to delve deep into the signs and patterns of the cosmos.

The Nodal axis is a dance in search of balance. Every 18-19 years, the Nodes return to the same position which allow us to look back and assess our Soul’s journey. What were you doing between April 2003 - December 2004? This will give you a hint at a certain repeating patterns which you may expect to encounter again over the next 18 months.

With the South Node in Scorpio, we need to move away from the under belly and stinger of the Scorpion. Leaving behind suspicion, jealousy, possessiveness will serve us well as we understand that our growth and ultimately our happiness will come from the realization that when we are self-sufficient in Taurus, we are calm and peaceful. We may not have as much as we could if someone gave it to us through marriage, a loan, or an inheritance, but what we have will be OURS. Self love, success through hard work, enjoying the simple pleasures of life—it sounds pretty good.

Enjoy the journey!
