Saturn Enter Aquarius

I’ve been thinking a lot about “Social Distancing” and how it came upon us seemingly, overnight. This coincided with Saturn’s entrance into Aquarius on March 22, 2020. Saturn represents austerity, isolation, hard work, maturity and wisdom. Couple that with the collective, social, utopian and humanitarian sign of Aquarius, this makes perfect sense. Saturn is the taskmaster and encourages us to keep our nose to the grindstone. There are no shortcuts here. We are being asked to come together and maintain our humanity, but at a distance and somewhat in isolation. Thankfully, Saturn is very comfortable in Aquarius, as its traditional ruler. Aquarius rules technology and the internet, so let’s make the most of this time and use the Shelter in Place or Stay at Home orders as a time to connect with our loved ones and the world at large via the technology that is at our disposal. If you go back to the last Saturn in Aquarius transit from 1991-1993, we saw the birth of the World Wide Web...not a bad accomplishment.
